Colored flower pattern printed in Meissen
This design is a re-imported version of the Arita porcelain pattern created in Meissen, Germany, and is called the "Meissen copy." The world-famous Meissen kiln in Germany was born about 100 years after the birth of Arita ware. The exported Arita ware attracted royalty and aristocrats, who wanted to make their own porcelain, which led to the first successful production of porcelain in Europe. It is a lovely pattern that combines Japanese emotion and Western style, with birds singing among brightly colored flowers.
