Sometsuke Fuyote
``Fuyo-te'' is a design named because the composition of a large round window in the center and the divisions around it is reminiscent of a large furo flower. In the early 17th century, the Dutch East India Company specially ordered and imported ``Sometsuke Fuyote'' vessels from China, and they became very popular in Europe. In the mid-17th century, China forbade exports to other countries, so many ``Fuyote'' produced in Arita ended up in Europe. It is a pattern loved by European aristocrats that expresses gorgeousness and elegance using only the indigo color of dyeing.
