Red colored arabesque
In the early Meiji period, Japanese people admired the gorgeous culture of the West. This design, which was created at that time, was unusual in that it was painted in vermilion red, a color similar to the lines that form the outline of the design, which is often seen in dyed designs. Since the composition is Western tableware, the inside of the bowl is white, and it can be said that it was an extremely fresh design for Arita ware, which has interior paintings. The ``Akano Gold Painted Arabesque'', which is a reproduction of that design, is useful not only for Japanese and Western cuisine, but also for exotic presentations.
