This pattern is a nostalgic yet fresh reproduction of the intricate dyed nishiki of Ko-Imari. The auspicious ground pattern is dyed and painted, and the chrysanthemum-shaped form creates a gorgeous look. The pomegranate fruit depicted in the inner picture has many seeds, so it has been popular as an auspicious pattern that prays for fertility and the prosperity of descendants. The dyed indigo, bright red, and green colors create a dignified and powerful design.
